Pre- and post-processing
Multicloud: the systems involved with different hyperscalers
An SAP system copy is an important part of a company's IT operations, as it helps reduce the risk of data loss. However, it is important to regularly schedule and monitor the creation of system copies to ensure that a working copy of the system is available in the event of an emergency.

While homogeneous SAP system copy expects identical combinations of operating/database systems on the source and target systems, there is also a requirement for different combinations of operating/database systems on the source and target systems in the project environment (eg, during migrations). This is referred to as a "heterogeneous SAP system copy". Technically, it is quite possible to build up a degree of automation here as well, but officially certified consultants ("migration consultants") are required to perform the heterogeneous system copy.
Performing SAP system copies automatically
The term "system copy" describes the process of creating a copy of an SAP system on a new server. There are two types to be distinguished: homogeneous and heterogeneous system copy and one can get to the system copy in different ways.

Acceleration/table export: up to 4 times faster. The larger the table and the higher the effort for sorting, the greater the time gain during export.

From now on, this will be easier. "Shortcut for SAP Systems" contributes to a time-optimized execution of this complex process, no matter when and at what frequency, and while maintaining a high degree of flexibility even in changing environments.

However, after the reboot, the target system is not immediately ready for use, as additional steps must first be performed (see description below).
