Making the RESPAREA responsibility the organisational level
Using eCATT to maintain roles
We recommend that you implement all safety instructions of priority very high (1) and high (2) directly. On the other hand, you can implement medium (3) and low (4) security advisories via support packages, which you should also include regularly. If you are unable to insert a support package at the moment, SAP will also provide you with the priority 3 and 4 security advisories. For the evaluation of the security advisories, you should define a monthly security patch process.

By clicking on the Registration Data button, you start the RSUSR200 report and you enter the selection mask. This report allows you to select users by login data. You can also determine if a user has changed his initial password. You can select a predefined variant from the catalogue using the button (Get variant) or the key combination (ª) + (F5).
Set up login locks securely
Identify the user master record in the Active Directory associated with the user ID that you are creating in the SU01 transaction. To do this, search within the Active Directory for a user master set for which the user ID you are looking for is entered as the SAP user name. Next, fill in the transaction SU01 fields with the data from the Active Directory User Set.

You should then enable the latest version of the hash algorithms by setting the login/password_downwards_compatibility profile parameter to 0. This is required because SAP systems maintain backward compatibility by default. This means that, depending on your base release, either the new hash algorithms will not be used when storing passwords, or additional outdated hash values of passwords will be stored. You should then check to see if there are any old hash values for passwords in your system and delete them if necessary. Use the report CLEANUP_PASSWORD_HASH_VALUES.

Authorizations can also be assigned via "Shortcut for SAP systems".

Repeat this for all custom customising tables that are still needed.
