Starting Web Dynpro ABAP applications
SAP Data Analytics
Careful preparation is a prerequisite for a successful authorisation check. A functional specification must be created for all customer-specific functionalities. This forces us to think about what the actual requirements of the application are and then describe the possible implementation. In doing so, security-related aspects, such as eligibility testing and allocation, must be taken into account. Define what you can do with this programme and also what you cannot do explicitly! In the case of a permission check, not only the activity to be performed, such as reading, changing, creating, etc. , can be checked. You can also restrict access to records by using specific criteria, such as field content or organisational separators.

Because certain types of permissions, such as analysis permissions, for SAP BW, or structural permissions in SAP ERP HCM are not based on SAP permission profiles, these permissions are not displayed or refreshed in the permission buffer. To analyse such eligibility issues, you must therefore use the appropriate tools, such as the HRAUTH transaction for SAP ERP HCM or the RSECADMIN transaction for SAP BW. The same applies to the Organisation Management buffer if you use indirect role mapping. Run the RHWFINDEXRESET report to reset the Organisation Management buffer. A prerequisite for the user buffer to be up-to-date is the correct user matching (green instead of yellow statusabilds on the Users tab).
Permission implementation
You can implement the first request for additional verifications when performing document transactions by using document validation. In this example, we assume that the document is posted through an interface and that you want to check permissions for custom authorization objects and/or certain data constellations. There are different dates for document validation. The complete document can always be validated, if only the information from document header (time 1) or document position (time 2) is available to you, this can also be sufficient depending on the scenario. In such cases, you need to create validation at the appropriate times. Before you can write a User-Exit in a validation, you have to make some preparations.

By correcting SAP Note 1692243, you can now also use the report in a ZBV (Central User Management) environment; It is no longer limited to individual clients. If the role assignment of the ZBV in the SCUM transaction is set to global, it is sufficient if the correction is recorded in the central client. Then it is only possible to execute the report in the central client. Furthermore, you have the option to select the ZBV's subsidiary systems from the Receive System drop-down box in such a way that only the systems in which the role assignment is to be consolidated or deleted are taken into account. In the results list of the consolidated role assignment, you will now be listed in the ZBV-System column the subsidiary systems where consolidation or deletion took place.

If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.

In the change management process, a sufficient test and release phase should be set up by the responsible department.
